“At least 12 people, including three children and a Japanese national, died when a motorized outrigger ferry boat bound for Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, capsized in the Verde Island passage off Batangas around noon Saturday, police said.”
I first heard this news before it went out on public from a friend of mine who was supposed to ride that ferry for their trip back to the pier. They had a 3 day vacation at White Beach Resort in Puerto Galera and their trip back to Manila was delayed because of the incident.
It is sad to think that those people who planned to have fun and spend a wonderful time with their loved ones ended up on this tragic accident. This must be one heck of a trial for the victims and I pray that God will give them strength and courage to survive this predicament.
