Last June 7, 2009, when I was about to leave our home for my driving lessons, my mom complained she was feeling something that was not right. She said that her jaws felt like stuck together and that she can’t move her face. I checked her blood sugar but it was normal and then I took her blood pressure and it was 220/110.
I observed her for a while if it’ll subside but it got worse. After 5 to 10 minutes, one side of her face drops and her eyes were asymmetrical. That’s when I suspected that it was stroke. So I called my dad and we rushed mom to the hospital. After assessment and observation, also based on the CT Scan and MRI done, she really suffered from stroke.
f you have parents that possess the risk factors stated above, watch out for the signs that I have observed my mom. It is better to be aware and cautious to prevent further damage or complications.
