He was included in the list of “Most Influential People in the Philippine Techbiz” by T3 magazine. He has always been featured in our country’s leading newspapers and magazines. He has also been doing speaking engagements both here and abroad. His average monthly salary, just a mid-figure, 4-digit number, US dollars. Not bad, right?
Another person to look up to is Ms. Lynette Bancil, a single mother who makes a living out of her “kakikayan” (fanciness). Looking back, she stopped schooling to raise a kid, working on different jobs in different companies. But a free-spirited gal like her couldn’t be confined in a usual 9AM-5PM office routine. So she followed her guts and started doing great designs of chandelier earrings and other fashion accessories. She initially sold it inside the stalls of UP Campus. It was selling like a hotcake until she decided to put up her own toys and accessories shop in Greenhills. She wished to have her own brand of accessories and sell it in bigger malls.
Becoming successful in converting your hobby to money also entails hard work and determination, not only sheer desire. So if you want to really succeed in doing something you love to do, follow your heart with great aspiration and perseverance.
What’s great about turning your hobby to money is that you’ll never get tired. As what the famous Chinese philosopher once said, “Choose a job you’ll love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” - Confucius.
