Early morning last April 28, 2009, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo finally tied the knot at San Juan Nepomuceno Church in San Juan, Batangas.
The celebrity couple had been engaged for almost one year. Their wedding was presided by Fr. Tito Caluag, which is the couple’s long time spiritual adviser.
The ceremony that started at 7:00 am was kept private from media.
The couple’s principal sponsors include Mon Isberto (Smart Communications spokesman), Bien Bautista (Ace photographer), Benjie Gonzales (Ryan’s uncle from the US), Susie Entrata-Abrera (TV Host), Rory Quintos (TV & Movie Director) and Jane Buencamino (Judy Ann’s road manager).
The matron of honor was Mega Star, Sharon Cuneta while Agoncillo’s brother, Dondi, stood as best man.
Three of the Philippines’ best singers performed during the wedding. Agot Isidro sang “Runaway” of The Corrs and Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid sang “The Prayer” which made the offertory solemn and sanctified.
The ceremony was attended by the couples’ families and closest friends in and outside showbiz. Spotted at the event were Santos’ mother, Carol, Senator Francis Pangilinan, KC Concepcion, Suzy Entrata, Paolo Abrera and directors Joyce Bernal and Rory Quintos.
The couple first partnered on the teleserye Krystala and followed by hit movie “Kasal-Kasali-Kasalo.” Their next project for ABS-CBN is the teleserye “George & Cecil.”
