Puerto Galera is considered by many as one of the most beautiful and sought after beach resorts in the Philippines. It is located in Oriental Mindoro and can be accessed by a Ferry boat from Batangas Pier. Speaking of which, below is a simplified instruction on how to get there.
- Go to Buendia Taft and ride the bus going to Calabarzon, Batangas Pier (Jam transit specifically)
- When you reach Batangas pier, ride a ferry going to White Beach if you are really going to White Beach while you should take Muelle if you are going to Puerto Galera City or Coco Beach Resort.
Me and my boyfriends’ family decided to stay at Coco Beach resort. It might be a bit more expensive than the other beach resorts in Puerto Galera but it you want a peaceful scenery where you can relax and enjoy at the same time, this is the right place for you.

Other beach resorts are definitely cheaper than going to Coco Beach but it was all worth it. Ambiance is perfect, not over populated. In fact, almost all of their guests are foreigners mainly from Denmark. We even made a couple of friends there: Michale and Casper. The food was incredible and their service crews were admirable.
If you want to have fun with your family while feeling like you’re in private beach resort, prepare around 10k to 30k depending on the number of people. Also, you may want to check out their rates.

This is a nice resort for a reunion gathering! But I think I’m gonna need to save up a big bunch first. Try out visiting Cagayan de oro as well and stay in Cagayan de Oro hotels.
