Choosing a domain name can be tricky.  Aside from being unique, it must show what your company and what your site is offering to the buying public.  A domain of http://www.company.com can be too generic and may be used by others.  However you could use http://www.company.com/marketing-specialist/ for your website in order to generate more traffic.  Putting in keywords in your domain name in a tactful and professional manner will give you leverage in appearing among the top list of websites indexed by search engines.

Get your Tags and Density Right

Your title and header tags are actually more important to Google’s ranking algorithm than the content of your webpage.  The algorithm looks for keywords in the header first.  Word density comes next.  In the body, you can incorporate those keywords that can be recognized by indexing spiders of Google.  Make sure that your keywords gets 7%-10% word density per website page.

Link Building

Back linkages can help increase your ranking in search engines.  No one gives back linkages to websites that they believe that are not trust-worthy.  You can start by asking some of your customers to provide a link going to your page in their websites.  If you’re offering shoes, see if you can ask websites specializing in clothes or shoe materials to link with yours.  If you’re offering marketing services, ask a partner law firm if they can back link your site to theirs.
