It is said that women are most likely to have urinary tract infection than men. It has something to do with the length of the urinary tract and proximity of it to the external enviroment acting as a portal of entry for microorganisms.

Symptoms of UTI?

  • Burning or tingling sensation when urinating
  • Heaviness on the lower abdomen/strong urge to urinate
  • Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
  • Blood in the urine (hematuria)

UTI can be treated in a short course of antibiotics. I myself have suffered from this infection just a few days ago. I have taken Ciprofloxacin, Ciprobay twice but it gave me some adverse reactions such as severe dizziness, nausea and vomiting. If you are in a course of this medication and have experienced the same effects, stop using the drug and consult your doctor immediately.
